A physician-led mobile health clinic connected its assessment data before it saw its first patient, and never met the administrative ceiling that slows growing preventative practices down.

Is this you?

Sound like your clinic?

This story will feel familiar if most of these are true for you.

  • Each assessment produces labs, imaging, fitness, genomics and history.
  • Your physicians assemble that data themselves before they can write the plan.
  • The plan is the product your clients pay for.
  • You see clients outside a traditional clinic, or across several sites.
  • You are opening, or growing faster than your physicians’ hours.
  • Every plan must be reviewed and signed by a physician before it goes out.

The clinic

Optimal U is a physician-led mobile health clinic operating across the Greater Toronto Area. It brings a complete, medically rigorous wellness assessment directly to its clients, at corporate offices, private homes, gyms and partner venues.

Each assessment generates a substantial data set: dozens of biomarkers, VO2 and fitness evaluations, body composition and bone density imaging, DNA-based testing, physician examination findings and a detailed health history. The output is a personalized lifestyle medicine action plan, delivered by the physician who reviewed every piece of it.

The question they came with

Optimal U arrived with a clear one: how do we build the operational foundation right, before growth makes it harder?

It is a better question than most clinics get to ask, because most ask it too late. Early on, physicians handle the synthesis of all that assessment data themselves. As volume rises, the preparation time rises with it, and the ceiling on how many clients a physician can see is set by administration well before it is set by clinical capacity.

What we built

Every assessment, assembled before the physician opens it.

Comes in

  • Lab results across every biomarker
  • Body composition and bone density imaging
  • VO2 and fitness evaluations
  • DNA-based testing
  • Examination findings and health history

Clinic Conductor

  • Reads the full data set as each assessment completes
  • Places every value against its reference range
  • Surfaces risk indicators first
  • Assembles the summary the way a physician reads

Lands in

  • A care plan summary, ready for review
  • The full data set, attached beneath it
  • The physician’s edits and signature
  • The client’s action plan, after sign-off

What the physician sees

The findings that change the plan, first.

Each finding sits against the client’s own previous result and the target, with the full data set attached beneath. Nothing is left out, and nothing reaches a client until the physician has reviewed it and signed.
